What I like about this picture is the amount of emotion that is conveyed. The artist does a great job of contrast when it comes to the white dress and the dark shadows in the background but really stands out is how the photographer only focuses in on the girls face. This forces anyone who is looking at the photograph to see the sadness that the girl is feeling and immediately feel bad for her. That one tear and the look on her face just conveys this great sadness and feeling of having lost something and I think it is amazing that all of that emotion can be captured in a photograph.
