Moonrise

This picture, called Moonrise, was taken by Edward Steichen, one of the photography giants of the early 1900's, in New York. As its name suggests, it depicts the moon rising from behind the trees over a pond or lake. The effect of the reflection of the trees on the water adds an interesting aesthetic quality to the photo. However, I am disappointed by how dark the picture is because a lot of the detail, especially around the edges is lost. I understand that being 1904, this is probably the best you could hope for at night, but it still leaves me wishing that everything was more clearly visible.
